Out of 392 total yards on offense, penn st had 302 yards passing.

If that doesn’t improve then teams like Bama, MSU, Ole miss are going to chew us up.

Run defense continues to look stout.

Far too many three man rush. For him to stand back there and not throw passes within the window ......we covered well until the coverage finally broke down.

It was the reliance on the zone. We have been here before, just have to mix in more man and disguise it.

I hate to think what will happen with Lane Kiffen vs. our zone defense.

It was a pathetic performance. PSU out-schemed us. If there was half time adjustments, I didn't notice them. I am afraid this D will be like Gus' O. When it works it's a thing of beauty. When it doesn't it will be really ugly.

We’ll rush 3, and give Corrall time to take a nap and eat a snack. Mason looked pretty dumb last night.

They were dinking and dunking inside the zone. They did have a couple of big plays to TE's down the seam that we got to fix.

Zone vs. Man is an old argument. Both can work, but zone takes a little more thinking to pull off. But really Mason isn't 100% a zone guy. You will often see him run man-to-man on one side of the field and zone in the middle. (Mixed coverages).

I still can't wrap my head around this. The scouting report in Clifford was basically the same for Bo. He's good with a clean pocket and can step into his throws. He's close to awful when you can move him off his spot and he will make mistakes then. It was a horrible gameplan.

On a related note, where the hell was Owen Pappoe at last night? I like him and everything, but he disappears against better competition.

They won’t say it (yet) but I think Bo is injured as well. Maybe a stinger.

Yep. It’s like Mason was trying to give him all day to throw. I do like how unlike Bobo, they gave him a lot of quick throws. Bobo went full Malzahn and either called only WR screens or slow developing deep pass plays. I couldn’t believe it with all the quick crossing routes we saw in the first 2 games.

He had 5 solo tackles, while disrupting a ton of schemes. He’s a great Linebacker. Anyone questioning Pappoe needs their head checked.
