difficult answer: save for Harsin, our AD doesnt make any personnel decisions when it comes to football
we’ve known this since Bowden’s ouster, and until it changes we will be consigned to gridiron purgatory

Kiffin gave the ball to RBs 9 more times last night than we have in two games combined. This beaver toothed clown thinks you can win without a running game. I thought he’d shown promise on that front after the Baylor game when he was saying how hard it was to just keep running the ball.
which would be fine if the passing game was collegiate level. It is not. bama's throwing to guys wide open in space. our routes are all sit down with the DB or sideline go long.

How do you expect Hugh to call plays and maintain an elite short game?

Wonder if he breaks 80 at Moore’s Mill after church today?

I checked GHIN.
He hasn’t posted a score since June, but I bet he’s a Sandbagger who doesn’t post 9 hole scores as required.
You know the MF’er has snuck in some 9s since June.

That’s because Ole Miss has a much better and deeper OL than Auburn.
That OL unit is way below SEC standards. It is a severe problem that Freeze inherited…. but that is no longer an acceptable excuse …. he’s has plenty of time to fix it. We believed the reports that the OL had improved … mebbe a little, but that won’t cut it. Xavier Chaplin? …. Puh-leeeeze

He quit after the shite he got in the summer. Quit posting his scores, that mofo didn’t quit playing.
Hard to believe he played as many rounds in June as I have since the month of June.

You are so right, Carl.
A golf addict plays whenever he can.
I bet he’s has the best simulator station money can buy at the house. Probably plays 18 on the sim everyday.
I’m jealous.

Looks like Charlie Chaplin replaced “Jerry” Lewis.

We tried hiring kiffin, he said no then we end up with Hugh. I agree w/ Corch. We have no OC!
Hopefully this is similar to Mizz. He was 6-6 for 1st three years then hired a real offense coach and they have improved every year since

Freeze was at a make or break point when he entered this season. He is now breaking.
Dont think Freeze is coming back from this.

It’s time for an overhaul on offense. Hire a OC/QB coach. Hire a running backs coach. Hire a new OL coach now. And hire a new TE coach.
And that’s only if we finish 7-5 or above anything less you gotta let Hugh go.
Unless the wheels completely fall off, Freeze is probably back for 1 more year. Fire Nix, the TE coach and the OL coach (probably Kent Austin too). Bring in a top OC and give him control.. let him bring in 1 guy to coach TE. Go get Pittman for the OL when he gets fired. And let that OC either bring in a QB with him or give him the money to go get the guy he wants.

Hugh is a fake arse chode.
He's been a good recruiter, but a piss poor coach when it matters most.
Poor choice of offensive staff when Arnold gets sacked by a 3 man rush when the game is on the line and one td would win it.

Wrong. The PTB have made good decisions on everyone since Dye except Freeze. Harsin was a frick you to the PTB by Alan Green.
And if we were to make a move I think k Durkin probably gets the job. If so give me Kirby Moore as OC pay the man $2m a year and leave him alone

Yeah, I believe I would stay the hell away from this. Freeze would continue to contaminate the offense, and thus far his evaluation of the QB situation has been lackluster.
Also there is reason to question Hugh's all out dedication to an SEC football program.
Sam Pittnam was a great recruiter, but I'm not sure how much old-style recruiting matters any more.
At minimum you have Durkin who has thus far proven that he can take care of one side of the ball, and who would surely leave no stone unturned with a second chance.

The boosters got back at him by turning the University into a national embarrassment through those false allegations.
Between firing Malzahn after a non-losing season (and the COVID all-SEC season at that), and the debacle with Harsin, it’s no wonder AU struggled to hire a self-respecting coach.

There needs to be two coaches. A QB coach and an offensive coordinator two different needs, not one.
That and an O-line coach. End of the game when Auburn could have won with a TD, Arnold got sacked quickly by a 3 man rush.

The existing line coach can’t create miracles. He needs something to work with.
