I gotta say Niffer's is probably the best. If they still had their AYCE special, it'd be hands down. Jefferson's is sauce-for-sauce an imitation of Niffer's, and Bob's has that temp-flavor setup along with wings by weight that just makes everything weird. Willie's wings are small, yet delicious and great for late night. BWW has awful service. Haven't had IWC or Halftime's. You could also add Louie's (Moore's Mill & Cary Creek by Publix).

Sammy, as always,

I'm pretty bad about getting Willie's when I've had some adult beverages. My go to is the Western Sub. I really should start trying some of the sauces though

Damn I haven't been to Auburn in 4-5 years. I recognize like 2 of those places. shite changes quick.
No doubt, everytime I go down I'm amazed at the changes.....when I was at AU in the 90's everyone went to Buffalo Connection but my favorite was the Strutting Duck off Wire Road.

Yeah it's a different experience now for sure. I remember buffalo connection. I think they tried to turn it into a night time spot at some point and it failed miserably. I remember strutting duck too. Old locals were always trying to hustle college kids at pool. I never tried their food though.

Aint nuthin but a wang thang.

I'm not sure about the best because I haven't had them all but I second Feeny's nomination for Niffers. Sauces are a personal preference sort of thing but Niffer's wings are always well cooked, well sized, and of good quality.

How is Jim Bob's not on this list?
Posted on 1/19/15 at 9:36 am to weaglebeagle
Jim Bobs is a good call too. No beer, but excellent wings, and I can stand to drink tea every now and then.
Hitting up Quixotes for wing night tonight

I actually like Loui's and Jim Bob's wings. I get Loui's all the time just because it's the most convenient decent wing near my house.

Unless OHS or AHS have some superstars I'm not aware of it has to be these 2 guys.

Did Guthries ever have wings, and are they still open? I haven't been there in forever.

Sammy is in a deer stand with little to no internet, but he asked me to inform you that they have never had wings.

Touchdown's was the best. Now it's gone and has been turned it to...Sushi Boy?? WTF?

This thread makes me miss Buff Conn
Some of the other AU establishments are great, but there will never be another AYCE Thursday like Buff Conn.

It was sushi boy, but that didn't last long. now it's damon duval's place.
By the way, those smoked wings at Moes downtown are fantastic. They're not really buffalo wings though.
