If you haven't been for Sunday brunch, do yourself a favor and go. I love The Hound, but The Waverly is my new favorite spot. The brunch buffet is incredible - fried chicken, bacon, ham, grits, collards, etc. And they bring biscuits to the table. The cocktails are great too. I can't wait to try dinner there.

Daughter of a good friend of mine designed that place. Good to hear the food measures up to the decor.

Love the vibe and decor there too. I didn't mention in OP bc not sure folks around here would care.

The morning we went they also had a keyboard player and he killed it with the song selection -- Van Morrison, Herbie Hancock, Vince Guaraldi (it was the weekend before Christmas), etc.

Anyone who likes coconut cake needs to try The Waverly's. Peninsula Grill is a well-known restaurant in Charleston with one of the best coconut cakes in the country. The chef at The Waverly studied under the Peninsula Grill chef and uses the same recipe.

For real? Culture has extended all the way out to Waverly now? Damn! Auburn really has grown.
