Never see that before and came across it just now. I've always been on the side they should wear em again once. Yes, we have some of the best jerseys out there but players now a days really love this type of stuff. I really think it would get me pumped up for at least one game.

Don't care what the players these days think. Those orange jerseys are ugly. If they're picking Auburn based on jerseys then they're not choosing for the right reasons

I'm not saying they're choosing auburn based on a jersey. But it would be cool.. And I guarantee 90% if not more of the players think the same, that it would be nice to have a surprise one gameday when they take a look at what they're wearing.

Did you watch the video? Even those players in the 70s were pumped

Yeah I watched the video and it didn't change my stance in the slightest. Last time we wore orange we got whooped too. No thanks

For those of us from that era, orange jerseys translates more to "desperation" rather than "excitement".

No thanks.

Tubberville had them made again to use in 08. Obviously he decided not to and they were supposed to be destroyed but a some buddies got a couple.

When you see Auburn wear orange jerseys again (if ever), you will know that the head coach at that time has truly reached the "desperation" stage of his Auburn career.

I was there too, and it was awesome.
I would like to see a "throwback" every year for homecoming.

When you have the best uniform in college football, there is no need to mess with perfection.

Im not sure its a throwback when you are just reminded of the one time the team wore those jerseys...and didnt win by the way.

I've kinda always wanted to see since I've never seen them wear it.

I'd imagine they would look like the pic below, which really doesn't look good. Those jerseys need a stripe around the shoulder.

It isn't perfect. The orange facemasks would make them perfect.

The throwback we need is for the Deep South Old Rivalry Game. We need to start marketing that game to the history/tradition and making it a bigger deal. We should rock one of these exclusively for DSOR and keep our traditional uniform (w orange facemask) the rest of the year

We wore the orange jersey 3 times in the modern era, and our record was 1-1-1.

Prior to '56, there were lots of different Auburn uniform combinations... Blue helmets, orange helmets, blue pants, and even green jerseys.

Clicked on this thread thinking someone would mention orange facemasks.

Was not disappointed.

Nobody wants to mess with the "perfection" of the uniform simply give us an alternate for a game a year or something so kids can compare that with almost every other school. This whole idea that if we somehow had a game we wore something new would ruin tradition is bs.

I love our uniform for 12 games of the year, I just want a throwback for DSOR

With GA a huge recruiting ground, we need to start pushing that game hard as primetime iconic rivalry. The more "iconic" we make that game, the more press/better tv coverage/more important it becomes.

Right now DSOR is completely ignored by anyone not UGA/AU
