I blame the administration for not following through with their plans to fire the guy. It's like they expected him to fold so they wouldn't have to write a check.

PTB and Harsin has made it difficult on Harsin’s tenure. I guess Harsin is down but he’s not standing, swaying in a trance waiting for the kill shot like in Mortal Kombat.
A greater than imagined season will not help with early signing day unfortunately as most recruits will be strongly committed elsewhere until ESD in December, but there could still be a couple steals. We should be able to start bringing in better transfers afterwards though. We noticed USCe have recruiting success in the portal merely because their 2nd year coaching staff has not yet shot themselves in the foot. Real momentum can take Harsin whereever he wants to go at Auburn. Whether he can even get there or not are better concerns that were there before Harsin’s vacation.

You are as old as I am. I could not disagree more. This blows jetgate out of the water. This was such a horrible look. This was the dumbest thing, in a very long list of dumb things, I have ever seen us do.
As I said in another thread.........we are our own worst enemy. we give our enemies ammo to negatively recruit us.

The dumbest thing that Auburn has done? What, investigate allegations that came in? As they absolutely have the responsibility to do?
How the **** does that blow JetGate out the water? In case you forgot, JetGate involved the school President, AD, and Bobby Lowder flying to Louisville and interviewing Bobby Petrino and simultaneously tampering with the contracts of both Tuberville and Petrino. Walker and Housel lost their jobs.

after Tub had been at Auburn for how many years? He had been given a shot. Harsin hasn't.
Say we did fire Harsin.............name a coach worth his weight that would come to a school that would do that? (this is what is the absolutely horrible look)

And Jetgate was much much worse.
What part of allegations does this sports fan board not understand that if any allegations are levied they have to be investigated?????
Maybe someone should do a FOIA request for the meeting minutes from the investigation. Then the real truth of what happened will come out.

who levied them?
I could "claim" somebody was a child molester. That doesn't mean that an investigation should be made public on mere accusations.
None of the players claimed they were mistreated. In fact, the players supported him 100%. This was some made up bullshite trying to get Harsin fired for cause or trying to make him quit after being publicly humiliated.............it turns out it was all manufactured.

Until we know that we are just spitballing.
Actually there were many portal guys who completely shite on Harsin as they left plus smoke TJ Hunter and couple others during all that Instagram chat or Snapchat or
Whatever the hell it was… they were throwing Harsin under the bus as well.
But Larando says last year there was about 40 percent buy in. Says there is 100 percent buy in now.
So should be all good this year no excuses

Like I said it was probably Mason or one of the out going players.
I don’t buy at all that it was the PTB.
Maybe a FOIA isn’t a available for personnel files so maybe that’s why we don’t know exactly what was going on and I’m sure lawyers got involved.

I’m sorry but any coach that doesn’t understand the high importance of recruiting in the SEC should be ashamed. If this is true about Harsin and with a full second year of poor recruiting I’m starting to believe it’s true, that is big time disappointing and frick the PTB anyway.

If Leach got any kind of a raise in his recent extension, that would put Harsin as the least-compensated HC in the SEC West. The top 3 guys earn almost double what he does.

So what you’re saying is 5 million isn’t enough but 7 million was to much for winning seasons an SEC championship every few years. Wins over Bama on the regular. Good recruiting.
