TIFWIW but there's a thread on The Corner about Arch Manning potentially entering the portal, and there's mutual interest between us and him. Hoke and jhead both confirmed they've heard the smoke and hoke believes it's more than just smoke.
Apparently Archie has a really good relationship with freeze and was on the ole Miss committee that hired freeze. Arch isn't looking for nil from what I've read.
Again it's not a guarantee he enters (or picks us) but if he did both hoke and jhead have said there's mutual interest. Again TIFWIW.

If you’re talking a rent a year QB maybe so… Arch Manning shouldn’t just be given the job but if won the position I don’t think anyone would care. However he would still be very young and inexperienced. And I think he was very overrated coming out of high school but many QBs are. He’s extremely talented
