People celebrating is not the same thing as claiming a full turnaround, it’s a good sign that we are beginning to see the start of turning it around. What’s the harm in having some positive discussion over it. None. Just stop. We get you and some others are scarred and guarding your feels. Smoke some weed snd chill.

Don’t act like a c unt. You said nothing has happened 2 days after we beat Bama for a kid that flipped from UGA.

If you’re feeling fragile because that gives people hope that more good things will keep happening then that’s on you, brotha.

Might want to go reread that page of the thread

In the context of Pat Dye comparisons and people confessing they were wrong about Freeze before he’s coached a single game (which is where this thread was when I posted it), flipping 1 5* LB from Georgia is a nothing burger. That’s what I meant by nothing significant has happened.

In a normal context, yes it’s a big thing worth celebrating.

Call me a pussy all you want, but y’all get people so worked up that any disappointment because a colossal failure and this board is a shite show full of melters. I don’t understand the need to take every upswing or downswing to the extremes. Why don’t we try staying in reality for a change?

But I dropped this convo for a reason, so I’m going to drop it again.

You didn’t need three paragraphs to explain you’re upset that people are having fun. You made that clear

If you want a depressed recruiting thread why don’t you check this one out.

It’s Friday night and the goddam hall monitors are asking people to keep it down. Politely frick of and come back Monday when we’re back to reality

All I'm celebrating is the fact we have a coach making some noise in recruiting again, if you don't think Riddick is a sign we are starting to turn the corner then that's on you.

Confessing I was wrong about Freeze and wanting Kiffin is based solely off where OM's recruiting is compared to ours right now.

Weagle is a good dude. A LOT of us natives rightfully feel a little scarred from the last handful of years

Riddick in the ‘24 class is the first 5* since ‘19. That’s 5 years of recruiting classes

I know it feels like nothing. Probably because we have so fricking far to go. But it’s time to enjoy it a little. We have 4 months of anxiety ahead of us if we land some more of these guys

One of the foundations of recovering from abuse is learning to celebrate the small victories.

Which is why I’m sitting on the porch with a nice smoke and a bourbon and enjoying the twitters and rant melts this evening.

My unpopular opinion is that we should focus on who wants to be here. When Jimbo gets fired he'll come back to us

Last year on this day we had a pitiful showing except for the Langston Hughes kids (that all went elsewhere). And to top the day off, everyone had to watch Adrian Posse commit over Air Noland.

Posse is now the #1274 ranked recruit in ‘24. He’s committed to UAB. Noland is #40 and committed to Ohio State

It’s been a looooooong time coming.

The whole point of recruiting is to convince kids that want to go elsewhere to come to Auburn. Otherwise we wouldn’t have to recruit them.
