Rank ordering what’s most important in recruiting and using that in a generalized manner is super silly, IMO.
Each recruit has their own list of things that matter. Bama, Ohio State, UGA, etc seem to be able to skip the “1. Relationships are most important” step quite often when they enter a recruitment.
Behind the scenes, we really have no clue if a guy chooses Bama because of relationships, money, playing time, winning, facilities etc.
Know what the good programs do about not knowing each kid’s items of importances? They do all of that list well
And that’s the point folks. Win the games, pay the kids, know the handlers and you get the recruits. That’s actually how it works and you don’t need to go through any added effort deciding how you rank them all

I think OL recruiting will pick up. I think kids need to see how these guys are coached and how they perform. People want to go to the league. For the few months this group has been here...they have done a tremendous job. Have they improved our lines? Yep...have they got OL recruiting down? No but they are working on those roads to get to know the recruits, coaches, parents etc...we will see an uptick once we start winning...

I also want to point out that there is a good chance we already have at least 3 of our starters on the team for next years OL, so its not like we are super desperate either. Wright, Lew, and Miller are all back. Maybe Bitton comes back too. We are ok at OL for now as long as we hit on a couple of players in the portal, and this staff has already shown how well they can recruit the portal.

What are you looking at? They have nearly 4k followers on instagram. I’m pretty sure one of the Auburn Live guys run the page.

I’m just pointing out that the Instagram users you’re following aren’t the recruiting sites as we typically refer to, such as 247/On3/Rivals
And I only did that because you called them the recruiting sites
So for example, when you said yesterday that we’re getting “crystal balls” for Riddick to Auburn, I went over to 247 to find out who placed them since they’re the crystal ball people.
Anyway, it’d be good if you referred to the source of info. Even among paysites, there’s a wide variety of weight I’d give to a prediction. If it’s JLee, I’m probably not putting a lot of stock into it. If it’s Clemente, I might have more excitement. That’s all

Recruiting especially on the line of scrimmage is an 18-24 month recruitment.
Add to the new staff this is one the weaker OL classes in our footprint in years. Yes we have missed on 2 guys that should have been locks. If we know anything about this staff is we know they won’t stop on a kid they want.

I have no problem with you. And I’m not any type of “major player” or whatever you’re on about. I’m just the dipshit that agreed to keep doing this recruiting thread despite wanting to quit every couple of seasons
