All the points have been made, now everyone can decide where they fall into.

You look at it as an argument. I look at it as a discussion. We can all discuss things that are not blue sky with the program. Just because someone brings up and topic that is not unicorns and rainbows, it doesnt mean we are putting the program down.
I have stated that I think Freeze has done probably about the best as anyone could have taken in what he did. I can not tell you that I personally think he can bring Auburn to a championship level in the SEC but I think he can certainly continue to put the wheels back on the bus. He is doing a great job of recovery in such a short time. I will however hope that he can bring in some of those diamonds that we have gotten in the past. I dont believe he can "coach up" guys constantly and compete against our two biggest rivals which is one of the big reasons he is here.
I am looking forward to next years class to see what high school talent he can bring in with a full year as the head honcho....

We have discussed all the points, so I am done discussing then.

What are y’all talking about anyways

Really just DISCUSSING the gaps between us and the juggernauts in talent level, which are significant and we have a long way to go.
Whether they are continuing to widen the gap or if Hugh and staff have done anything to begin closing the gap?
I say Hugh and Staff have at least stopped the bleeding and trending upwards towards closing the gap even if it's ever so slight.
Others contend that the gap has grown even further because Uga just got the #1 ranked QB.
There is more discussion than that, but that is the gist of it.

quote:There's not a high school player in the country worth that much. I hope bama is dumb enough to pay it too. All the WRs in the world mean nothing if you have Buchner and Milroe throwing them the ball.
Everyone wants Ryan Williams Jr to flip from Bama. Well Bama knows he’s the best WR since Julio in state. The reported NIL offer is 3.5 million. We either pony up or he goes to Bama.
I would much rather us take 3.5 mil and get 10 players who will can play at a high level.

Why? It just shows strength to our weakness in the current system

Might as well have a draft.

Let’s face it, winning SEC is harder than winning it all some years.

Some one here was advocating that it would be the eventual landing for all this. I dont see it ever happening.
What is a bigger issue is slowing down the NIL. Not sure how you put the breaks on when the train is going so fast

I don't think it will ever get to a draft, but I do see it being the eventual demise of college football and always have. At least as we've known it, and to be honest it's already changed due to NIL now.
I will enjoy it while it's still around.

The USFL will eventually be a farm league for the NFL, and the 5* players will be going straight there. That’s what I see happening.

Remember when All Americans would crawl on broken glass to suit up for bama?

I dont believe that. I think if there is a player out there that Nick Saban wants, he will find the money to get him
UGA has moved up but Bama has not fallen off

Back to the student athlete model would be fine by me.
