I'd like to see more of an attempt to work on weaknesses and get the team better in the second half of blowouts and more elite coaching mentality than we've seen out of our coaching staff and me and several other posters have stated this many times so idk why you're so confused. Read the thread, analyze posts, comprehend, and you'd understand.

Yeah downvote instead of refute. What a joke. Some of you guys act too much like pussies.

Dan Mullen: We shoulda/coulda won this game. We dominated the second half. This is a team to be reckoned with down the stretch.

Tell me that's not an actual quote

Or you know, shorten the game as much as possible and leave with as few of injuries as possible.

You can't be scared of injuries that's dumb. What if JF3 gets hurt on a QB keeper? Then we're out our backup QB. What if Cam Martin gets hurt? Then we're thinner at RB again. And they obviously weren't that scared about injuries considered they ran our recently injured RB 40 times tonight. Good teams use the second half of blowouts to improve weaknesses and do some more coaching. Picture this hypothetical scenario. Instead of running ball and using JF3 in the second half against Arky St, LaMo, and Miss St we go full air raid and Sean throws 15-20 fades and deep posts between the three games and something clicks and he starts to improve his deep ball. Kyle Davis starts to get a feel for how to run under a fade. We win out, it's Iron Bowl weekend we're down 6 late in the fourth quarter. It's third and long Rhett calls a fade Tony up the right, Kyle up the left, Nate Craig-Meyers runs a post from Kyle's side to take the safety with him. Kyle Davis gets a step on the corner with no safety help, Sean rares back and launches it like he has in games many times thanks to the extra second half practice and throws a perfect pass, Touchdown Auburn, we're SEC east champions. That's what good coaching will do for you, that's what elite teams do. Now do you want an elite team that plays four quarters of football regardless of competition or a good team that takes it easy and conservative and just wastes time in the second half of ballgames?

Yeah, god forbid future opponents get more film on our twirlybirds.
If you don't think future opponents know Gus's playbook, conservatism, and utter lack of killer instinct by now, you're just kidding yourself.

So keeping our starting QB and starting RB (due to injury) in the game deep into the 4th quarter running predictable plays was "trying to leave with as few injuries as possible"?
"Hey guyz, here are our starters and we're gonna run the exact plays you think we're gonna run, try not to hit our guyz too hard because they might get injured and stuff!"

I agree with you on this one. If you play JF3 the back half or last quarter, then you need to let him pass and work on his understanding of the offense.
Running back is really becoming a concern with Miller down and KJ getting banged up today. We are thin there but I do like Stanton back there, he seems to run hard and stronger than his size. He is good at avoiding the big hit or at least he was today against MSU.

Reconsideration of UH as a top 10 team? Absolutely. I don't think it is some huge question mark for Todd Herman, Navy isn't some scrub team for anyone who isn't top 10-15
Navy has ~8.5W/season for 111 wins since 2003 with only 1 year less than 8 wins. It isn't like Houston has so much talent that Navy is a gimme if they have a bad game

Hey, did you see the score that has Alabama doubled up on Arky with 10 minutes left in the game?
Almost as if they relentlessly want to fricking WIN.
