Maybe I was harsh on the no-defense part, but everything else I stand by. Malzahn gets full of himself on offense, IMO, and thinks his favorite 10 plays are good enough against any defense. You can't call the same plays over and over again against these defenses and expect it to work.

NM is an average QB. Have you seen him complete a pass across the middle? He doesn't hit his check downs during a blitz, and he's not running when he gets the chance. There's not much Gus can do. MSU is stopping the run.
