I was texting with a member of an NFL front office last week, asking who some of the top prospects in college football will be this fall. His answer: "Auburn's entire front".

Once I read that Jeremy played a full game under center against Arkansas I stopped reading. I figured it was Big Bird or Golf writing the article.

However,I must admit that I was already feeling the 15-0 route and a NC myself for our team, but I won't be writing an article expressing why.

From PM's insider....

Jason Smith as been the best wr this week. He's "extremly extremly talented"

JOnothon Jones has had a great 3 days

Blake Countess is better than expected

Maurice Swain has surprised some. Better than expected.

Andrew Williams Javy Mitchell Tre Williams and Justin Garrett pushing hard for PT. Frost and Cass starting isn't a sure thing.

Stephen Roberts and Dirty Mike not likely to get PT.

Tre Mathews missed Monday dealing with a minor traffic citation back in GA.

Jeremy Johnson has been inconsistent and his balls have been "wildly high" these first 3 days. More than you would like the insider said

Online is strength of the team.

Dontavius Russell and Monty likely to start with Lawson and Lambert on the dline.

Meh, he's always had a little trouble with throwing high, same as Cam did early in the season. He had a bunch of high balls in the Arky game last year. They weren't uncatchable high, but required some impressive catches.

Did you want to tell him he was inaccurate about Jeremy playing a full game vs Arkansas or should I?

Who wants to melt today?

quote:

Preseason First Team All-SEC wide receiver D'haquille Williams was not at practice during the first 20 minutes. Fellow senior wide out Melvin Ray came out just in time for stretching.

We'll hear from offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee following practice and see if Williams arrived at any point of what the reason was for his absence.
