I like that Holsey and Frost told Countess to come to AU cause he could win a natty here. I like the confidence.

That's one thing about the defenses the past couple years. No matter how bad they have been, they've always had great confidence.

They also love celebrating after a routine stop.

Well it doesn't come very often for them. I would celebrate scoring a layup if I was playing MJ

Maybe this is the year.

I've never heard this in my life. No way it is easier to play corner as a true freshman than rush the passer

As an every down player it absolutely is true. Not too many FR are big and strong enough to play 3 downs on the DL against JR/SR OL who have spent 3+ years in D1 S&C programs.

Yep. Assignments can be a lot simpler on the outside too. Interior guys have much more to worry about. You put a freshman DB in there and tell him to stay in the back pocket of that guy. Not so easy with a lineman or LB

Maybe in a Chizik defense. But cbs have to play the run as well as the pass. Roberts is moving from CB to S and they are acting like he has never played football before.

From listening to Champ, looks like we are going to see Blake Countess starting somewhere.

He seems high on him

So you think it's easier to get by an offensive tackle with SEC experience, most times, that has been in S&C program for several years than it is to play corner?

Frost is the world's worst at this. I want to junk punch him every time he does that little fist pump crap.
