Looks like he only makes $350k. We can easily double that.

I don't understand how this would be a great hire. Do we really want to go back to a 4-2-5?. Someone with similar scheme would be greater than Allen who has a mediocre resune.

If you can get the players you can run anything effective. Problem is we are not that talented. despite what 247 says, on the field results speak for themselves.

LANCE THOMPSON.

2016 is on the offense. If we don't improve on the side of the ball our season is DOA. Trying to make a homerun hire at this point is useless. Get someone who can provide consistency and salvage the recruiting class.

Go back? We ran more 4-2-5 under Muschamp than any other set.

Most teams run a 4-2-5 when facing spread teams. Alabama freshman Minkah Fitzpatrick had a huge year as "Nickel corner"

Yeah nickel has essentially become base defense with the way offenses have gone. The difference between Muschamp and Johnson was that Muschamp would give all kinds of looks up front and occasionally use only 3 down linemen. EJ used the nickel like a fast LB where Muschamp used him like a DB. I wouldn't focus too much on formation unless we bring in a 3-3-5 guy or something crazy.
