Meh, no shame in trying. AU is in a tough spot, and to Malzahn's credit he's playing all the cards he's got.

I don't see why we shouldn't go after Mel Tucker.

Because he sucked in the NFL and is a product of his 5* athletes at Bama

Someone should ask CK how Jimbo's dick taste. He's turning down a $500-800k per year raise because he's "loyal to jimbo"

Probably looked at short-term v long-term. Is coming to Auburn for $1M this season with high potential of being fired really better than say $800K at FSU for the next 5-6 years?

I agree.

Wish the "done deal" stuff had not leaked, that is what leaves a bad taste.

Regardless, if we win next year, it will be on the back of the offense. Really hope we keep kids like Davis for WR in recruiting.

Now, I guess the question is timing. How long can you wait for the hire? How badly does it impact recruiting? I would rather get a good fit than rush it, but why wouldn't we give Lance a look. He has plenty of coaching experience and seems to be a good recruiter.

It sucks but it's not embarrassing

It kind of just shows the state of the program currently. Of course last time we thought we were a dumpster fire..we went to the NC game the next season.

Let's throw an obscene amount of money at Jimbo and Co and just bring in the entire FSU coaching staff

Jacobs first. If he gets to hire another football coach, I may just have to find a new fall hobby for the foreseeable future.

That catfish looking mother fricker Jimbo would manage to string together a championship year in his first year, use that as leverage for an 8 digit buyout from Jay Jacobs, then proceed to digress to a losing season in the years following like every other coach we've had since Bowden.

Chip Kelly?

I might be one of the only ones I guess, but not a fan.

For me, this is beginning to be inevitable. Potential DC's just aren't going to buy into his system here after seeing the program regress from 2013.

What can Gus say to convince them otherwise? 'Oh, we have a new JUCO QB coming in that will help the offense.'

We're either going to hire a scrub or promote from within (the frickin' Auburn way unfortunately). Either course, I think we're fricked next season. We're in a worse position than we found ourselves in following the 2011 season...

He likely has one more season at Philly too. When he gets back into CFB, I think he likely takes a WC job.

I know who I'd call. Give him 1.4-1.5 since that stupid fricking 1.3 figure's out of the bag.
