I wonder if the players called the AD personally and said either he goes or we do. Maybe they went to his office and put their jerseys on his desk like in Rudy.

Where is Greene? It feels like he dipped out.

I feel like the only time you ever hear from AD’s in this situation it’s always when you get the death rattle that is a “vote of confidence”

Greene seems to be more of a behind the scenes guy. At some point he’s going to have to come out though, whether that’s to make a change or to get behind Gus, but until something’s official we likely won’t hear much.

If Gus actually gets fired, this will really be Greene’s first real test as an AD.

I know I joke about this everytime but the Auburn way would be to form a search committee that ultimately picks Chip Lindsey

I’m expecting nothing less. We will manage to go undefeated or play for a NC in the first few years, give him a Saban-like contract, and then hate him a year later

Plus there’s a large portion of us that already don’t like him. Which is essential for an Auburn hire

One name to keep an eye on where there will be at least some mutual interest is with Auburn linebackers coach Travis Williams, who also holds a co-defensive coordinator title on The Plains. Williams is a Columbia native and attended Spring Valley High School, and his name has been linked to a job here in the past. But he’s also at his alma mater, a school he loves dearly, so it will be difficult to woo him back here. – from JC Shurburtt

Yeah he needs to say something to prove he’s in charge. Right now it looks like he’s nothing but a pawn that was hired by a 2 year president.

I would be depressed if Gus is fired for Freeze. Just reading a summary of what he was doing at OM, and I dont want that at AU.

Freeze went to big too fast. He had the #1 recruiting class I believe in like his second year.... in Oxford. Auburn will take care of him and make sure he does a better job of ethical recruiting. The man can fricking coach though. His offenses haven’t stopped. 3-4 year deal, bring back Malik.

There was another message board rumor suggesting Beamer was going to go “all in” on Joe Brady as OC

I’m skeptical of the rumors out of Columbia right now

Parting with Gus probably means parting with the entire staff.

I would love for Garner, Caddy, Kodi, and T-Will to land on their feet elsewhere instead of going down with the sinking ship.

I would be depressed too. But not because of that pussy shite you are crying about. I dont want 55 passes to 15 run per game like we would get under Freeze.

Although I see your point, I do not want to be put on long term probation. He was openly paying people. How stupid can you be?
