If the O is much more efficient like it should be kicking may not be a big issue. Time will tell.

Kick-offs are something we've come to take for granted having Parkey. It will be interesting to see the % increase in kick off returns.

I say onside kicks and no punting unless inside our own 35.

The tackling job is still mostly on the other 10 guys. As long as the kicks themselves are caught inside the 5 or better I'm not going to judge Carlson on other team's starting field position.

If I remember, Carlson is suppose to have a really strong leg, so I would think there shouldn't be too big of a difference.

Time will tell. Kicking in the high altitudes of Colorado as opposed to the Plains of Auburn are vastly different things.

Guys, I think I finally understand what Ellis is doing with Gabe Wright.

Melvin Ingram.

He made a 50 yarder at A-day.

Two-a-days started today. Had a scrimmage this morning.

quote:

@wareagleextra: Malzahn said the scrimmage today was "about 70 plays," probably running the ball two-thirds of the time.

quote:

@AUGoldMine: Freshman QB Sean White "threw the ball on time. We knew that when we recruited him," said Gus Malzahn after Wednesday scrimmage

Also Charter is now on board with the SECN

Malzahn said senior offensive guard Chad Slade and senior cornerback Trovon Reed were held out but "both are fine."

Also said Pettway and Roc got most of the carries. I really want to see Pettway run the ball.

It is sounding like they are lightly dinged up, and Gus is holding them out to get some looks at the younger guys.

Johnson not going live at all this camp either excites me or worries me. Can't decide which

Gus said they're just in installation mode right now which means the younger guys get more reps than usual.

Why would it worry you? White and Tubbs are going live because there's no chance of them playing this year

He had the strongest leg and was kicking KOs to the back of the end zone at the Kohl's kicking camp. Idk where it was held, but probably not Colorado

Yeah. And most of you are better than me. I don't remember a damn thing about A-Day other than Nick lighting the pass game up and Flowers making a lot of tackles.
