Can AU not put together a better recruitment video for the university to play during the basketball games on SEC network? The current “Do you know Auburn” commercial abomination screams B team... Do you know?

FWIW whatever media team does basketball pummels the absolute shite out of whatever the University does.
Watch the basketball-specific hype videos, they're awesome and the production quality is somehow 100x better than the AU ones

Luke is actually quite positive when it comes to basketball. He’s right though. The recruiting commercials have always been embarrassing.

Well, yes, since I graduated from there, I do.
And if I didn't, your damn commercial isn't going to make me know anything more than I already know, outside of maybe that eagles like to fly dangerously close to Cessna airplanes.

The "Media Team" that does basketball videos IS the university. That's War Eagle Productions, and they're one of the best video crews in the nation. They are technically under the umbrella of the athletic department.
I don't know for sure, but I would imagine the people that did the University's "Do you really know Auburn" video is some third party production company in conjunction with The Office of Communication and Marketing. For the record, I've worked in C&M for one of the bigger colleges on campus, and from what I could tell, the central office of C&M was going downhill. This latest commercial proved I was right.
They should really let War Eagle Productions do the next video and keep it all in-house.

Unreal that the basketball hype videos, which look highly polished and are put out on short time frames, are in house. While we actually paid for that sparkly eagle shite.
I agree generally that SEC school commercials have traditionally been amateurish, but others have upped their game a lot and arguably we've regressed.
