That's really the decision that cost us this game. His team has lost confidence in his quarterback and he needs to take ownership of that. That is 100% a coaching decision. A lack of leadership. And grounds to be fired. Not even necessarily because hes not a great coach, but rather his lack of leadership is more of a structural problem than anything. You can't build a program like that.

who are you pulling Bo for? What was stupid was continuing passing the ball with Tank in the backfield. Arky fans were right..........Morris is an inept as Gus is.

He should’ve been pulled last year against FL and LSU.

Bottom line he won’t get pulled because of his last name, and that’s the only reason he won the staring job.

Do you know our roster? Pulling Bo opens a whole can of worms. You have to have a QB on the bench that is able to play well. This isn’t baseball where pulling the pitcher works all the time.

We lost the game anyway. You can't have your team lose faith in their quarterback and not do something about it. Even if you put Grant Loy in for one series it sends a message of who's in charge of the team.

Grant Loy. If he does poorly, what have you lost? Even if he did poorly, that might give Nix impetus to improve. But the trajectory we are on leads to disaster. Period.

That's just it

We have no leadership. SOMEONE needs to take charge

I’m sure there are rare cases. I believe Lamar Jackson was once pulled as a true freshman, but I rarely see pulling the Qb work out well. Spurrier couldn’t even make it work and he once tried every other drive against Auburn.

You're right. There's no leadership. Nix jawing at Seth told me that he's not a leader at all but selfish.

If Cord is not an option to play, then why give him a scholarship?

It's a leadership problem, jang. 100%. More so than play calling, or recruiting, or staff, or anything else. We have no leadership on this team. Gus is a coordinator masking as a head coach. And he's just not a leader.

bc we had a runningback averaging 6.9 yards a carry but only let him touch the ball 16 times? Don’t be an idiot

Cord would kill it in a short passing, west coast style O. It would take a coaching staff to change to his strengths, so you may have a point. Gus would be running 70 yard deep routes.

Cord is 3rd string. And the team dad.

Some walk on is second string. And he would probably perform just as poorly as Bo if all other factors remain the same ie bad o line play. Bo is frustrated that he isn’t performing up to his own standards. Dont pull Bo unless you think the backup can help you win. “Making a statement” isn’t a valid reason.

Gatewood might’ve worked since he was a different kind of QB and would’ve forced Gus to use different game plan.
