Purifoy has a better 2FG% than Heron
And a lower overall fg percentage.

-Purifoy averages less fouls per minute than Heron by a decent margin
They have the same number of fouls, but Purifoy has played more minutes. However, he has scored less, rebounded less and shot a lower percentage in those minutes.

Kenpom offensive rating means little.

Also, outside of a good game in a loss to Purdue, Purifoy hasn't done much against good competition. I'm not sure why you think heron has padded his stats against bad competition, but ignore Purifoy's disappearing act in the last 3 games. Also, calling Herron a volume shooter and comparing him to kobe is silly. He literally has 1 game that might fit that description.

Having said that...I like Purifoy and think he is improving his over all game. Hopefully he snaps out of his offensive funk against uga.

isn't it great that ya'll are having this argument? It wasn't long ago that it was K.T. Harrell or nobody.

Purifoy has a higher effective FG%

As in we average more points for every Purifoy shot than Heron shot. Purifoy is a significantly more efficient scorer

So your argument of Purifoy fouling more is BS. He fouls less per minute on the floor

It is a better metric and more trusted for O production than anything you've suggested.

Heron possession% is 29% the next highest is Harper at 21%
He is a volume player

Harper makes us go. All the other players are better when Harper is on his game. He is so much fun to watch. His basketball IQ is growing exponentially every game. I love his game.

I mean I get what y'all are arguing about, but I don't see the point in tearing down our guys over it. Just be damn happy that we have Purifoy, Heron and Harper.

It's close but so far I think Heron has made more winning basketball plays. Purifoy is defending outside of his natural position and he is a little better offensively but the difference on defense and the relentlessness and toughness Heron plays with I think make him more valuable to this point. I don't think there is any doubt that Purifoy has the higher upside. He has a combination of athleticism, size and skills that are rare at the college level. If he can become a little better ball handler and play with a little more want he can be an elite college basketball player.

I'm just super bitter about Herons ridiculous selfish play lately
Him missing that 2 on 1 breakaway layup refusing to pass made me upset

He creates so many opportunities for others but doesn't take them. He should have 4-5assists per fame
