hese all sound like very tall tales. These rank right up there with bama fans saying that he's talking to the ncaa trying ot burn auburn. I just assume the guy would like to continue his career of coaching and if these were true and a poster knew about them then i'm sure in the fraternity of coaching they'd be well aware.
He's committing coaching suicide if this stuff is true.

agreed... no coach getting paid a half million dollars to recruit is gonna push his most valuable target to his arch rival... sounds like crap school girls make up to somehow find a reason for something happening, instead of realizing that a RB went to the school that best fit his talents (the last 12 months have more than shown TJY was right in his decision)... it's not a grand conspiracy... its common sense.

quote:If anyone believes Trooper guided Yeldon to Alabama, they are the gullible one. Why would Trooper have Foster read the Yeldon script when he flipped if Trooper wanted Yeldon to go to Bama? Why would Trooper want to lose a kid on the recruiting trail with the talent of Yeldon? It makes absolutely no sense.
You are one gullible muchacho.
Too many people here believe things simply because someone wrote it on the internet.

Sour grapes with AU, thought he was headed out the door to ASU. Obviously that didn't happen and he stuck around for another year

This isn't from the internet
Either way, word around Twitter is that Thig was the one pulling recruits away (and to UT) rather than Trooper doing it out of spite.

If you think Trooper guided Yeldon to bama, you are the gullible one my friend, not me...
As I said, I believe he helped push RF back to Bama, that is not being gullible, but reasonable.
Trooper was very good for Auburn, recruited a guy name Cam. Never understood the Trooper bashing,

He was average for Auburn, there is no Cam without Malzahn. His recruits never really did anything.

We are bashing him now because he supposedly negative recruited against us when he should act as a professional. Hes not working so he shouldnt be doing any "recruiting".

+1
Only one of his guys worth anything was the one that grew up with an NFL QB for a dad

I wouldn't be shocked to learn that Trooper was still advising Rueben and may or may not have steered him away from AU, but there is no way he steered Yeldon away intentionally.

So now the story is a coach is trying to recruit for his team with players he as a relationship with.
I believe this story...because that's called doing your job.

Good grief haven't we all learned yet to hold back the bashing till something is confirmed. Over and over we as a fan base jump all over a piece of info to find out later it was something else. I fricking hated other fan bases doing it during the Cam deal, and hate it when we do it. Why don't we try to let something marinate for a while and see how it plays out before we jump on something like the angry mob with pitchforks and axes.

This yeldon crap is hilarious.
You dont torpedo your own career.
TT doesnt get to where he is by counting chickens before they hatch.

Just read some retweets from a couple of high school athletes.
The gist of these retweets is that this certain coaches son, currently an athlete at the high school in the town of residence of this certain coach, was all kinds of excited about Reuben's recent re-re-commitment.
That's a damn shame all around if there's even a shred of truth to any of that.

Saw that. Troop's son and some AU fans are getting into it on Twitter.

Guys Troop and Blaise pushed RF to Bama... I believe that...Not surprising really... You guys buying the Yeldon stuff are crazy and belong on ITAT.
Troop was led to believe he could stay on as an assistant, He was offered an off the field position, but declined. I understand he turned down at least one other job (west coast).
