Played a gig earlier and have another tonight.
I’m like Danny Glover right now.

Just got back from Gallery Night downtown. Hung with my new musical buddy while he played a solo acoustic gig dressed as 1972-era John Lennon. He brought me up to sing “Boris The Spider”. We’ve got a full gig together Sunday night.
Took the wife out to dinner, now outside with the dogs while they have theirs. Gonna have another cold brew, may stay up to see the Orionids meteor shower later.
Tomorrow, a stress free college football day, maybe a little yard work.
Life is…pretty, pretty good.
Awesome Freep.. With the gloom and doom of todays society, its always good to hear the good stories. Im not sure that any of us realize how good we actually have it. Different topic I know but its true.
My wife and I were laughing Thursday night at each other. We were sitting in the hot tub around 11:00pm connected to the pool at this super nice house we are renting, sipping on a cocktail and talking about the update we had gotten that afternoon on our new house that is being built.
Trying to figure out how in the hell we got to that place from where we both got started. Which I promise you was not much. Especially for my wife who came from dirt and straw. Like you said, Life is pretty pretty good. I am trying to not take it for granted.

First half was our best half. Our rival kicked the ever living hell out of our boys the mid third quarter on. We never scored again. Can’t say the same for them. They scored another 36 point on us. Ouch it was ugly.

I will. It’s a blast. It’s my mid-life crisis. I told my wife, at least a nice Fender bass is a lot cheaper than a fancy sports car.

What did you get?
My 15 year old has been playing bass for our church youth band and sometimes the regular church band. He's a guitarist, but the youth leader talked him into playing bass for the band and let him pick out a bass that the church bought. He's enjoyed it.

Listening to audiobook "The Score Takes Care of Itself" by Bill Walsh and watching football.
Man was incredibly discipled, hard-working, humble, and obviously innovative. Tough and very much "in charge" but looked down on absolutely no one, and made everyone feel important. Perhaps we over complicate how to have success.
Don't know if I would call him a genius, but his productivity and ideas were amazing. Funny in that we take the ideas for granted today. Things like "4 minute offense" and obviously the predominance of the passing game.
