PM's update is a short one. Allen Greene says a committee is being formed to search for a coach.
This also lines up exactly with what Marcello said earlier.. "Keep being told that Auburn's search will stretch a few days, maybe a week, but as one person termed it, it's "just for show." You may even hear about a "search committee" soon, but it's window dressing. Auburn is zeroing in on its target."

If this is true, no way a search committee is a smoke screen. That would have zero value.
To me, if true, its that Cristobal is not coming, and NOW they need to do the search to get the best available coach....

Let's not forget.
We hired our former AU legends to form a search committee and went right back to Gus (who i believe was rumored to be the hire to start with)

No offense, but playing football and running a 100MM per year business is two different things. Having Bo, Charles, and Jay Jacobs leading a committee is funny. Being the coach at AU is a tough job.
