His buyout only increased by 1 million, supposedly.

I still contend that Oregon overpaid. Lord knows Auburn would have. Let's move on and get us Napier.

This doesn't even make sense. Cristobal signed his contract.
Has he? I honestly don't know if he's just signed it or agreed to it.
There is a difference between verbal agreements and actual signed deals. Didn't the bball coach who shall not be named work for us on a verbal agreement for like 2 years before signing his deal?
Also, crazier things have happened. Manny Diaz took the Temple job, and less than a month later left it and took the Miami job.
But he had ties to Miami. Cristobal doesn't have ties to us, so I highly doubt this'll happen.

I looked this morning when TT said he was still an option. No official or media reports he has actually signed an agreement

At most they have signed a MOA. Actual contracts take longer to flesh out.

Oh to be a contract lawyer this time of year. Probably could be making bank.

I'll be a little disappointed is we end up with Cristobal, unless the alternatives do not include Napier.

I read somewhere that MCs agent was pushing him to be a shark in negotiations. He refused. He seems to lack that killer personality. 4.5 MM seems a bit low for him there.

Or he understands resources are finite and wants to make sure he has them to keep and continue to put together a good staff. Considering it is basically pulling teeth to get Oregon to pay anyone right now, seems like a pretty prudent move for someone managing a program.

Dude's from Florida. He's probably scared of sharks.
Which wouldn't bode well for us when we play Ole Miss.

Moorehead was making 2 MM per year.

Just be thankful it’s not Steele. Had we not collectively melted together he might have been named HC already.
Go team.

Coaching searches are filled w/ craziness & nothing new in 2020. Sources tell us Billy Napier has turned down the Auburn job. Keep a close watch on Bill Clark -- his interview went really well. Clark is incredibly well respected by his peers. A good possibility he is next in line
