Yeah. I wouldn’t be heartbroken if we got Sark. I wish he was in the bama system since his first stint tho. So some of that process magic could rub off like it did on Kirby.

It's all about exciting the recruits and even though he was a unknown the recruits expect Saban defenses from him. Sark isnt going to create much if any excitement among recruits for Auburn.

I beg to differ, and for sure he’d generate more buzz than Clark or Brown. Probably more than Napier too

Yeah, USC finished 10 and 2 in the 2014 and 15 recruiting rankings. He is a known recruiter

Those 2 are "settle for" candidates. Just a step below Sark. Recruits aren't going to be jumping at the chance to play for him. We would have just fired Gus for another Gus. Difference is Gus got to the NC from the SEC with so so recruiting and Sark didn't do anything but get drunk with his high classes at USC or Washington.

I honestly don’t know how much longer I can take this search. They need to get their crap together, make a decision, and make an offer.

You fricking kidding?

The guy just one-upped 2019 LSU’s offense. Recruits will come.

Biggest question will be if Bo Nix is salvageable. If so, we could step right into being competitive with Tank at RB and Seth at WR.

We fired a coach after a decent season in the middle of a pandemic and paid him $21MM for it. AND we clearly did not have a plan in place. I think we all have good reason to be frustrated with this.

How is conducting a thorough search with multiple interviews equate to not having a plan?

Not as HC. He done it as OC with Bama's talent. Auburn is well below that with no Oline.

Yes, decent, all things considered. Other than the SC loss, all of our losses were to top 10 teams. It was not Gus’s worst season by any means.

According to beat writers paid to create content for clicks. If they wanted to hire Steele, they would’ve hired Steele. Since when did any of AU’s booster give a damn about the public opinion? Yet they suddenly started to care? No way.

Also, caps lock is obnoxious.

Auburn on paper has more talent starting today than AL at QB and WR.

This is fair. I think you’re right about that.

We have more influence on this hire than any previous with the power of social media. Maybe not much influence, but we have more of a voice than before and that is not debatable. It made sense to me the backlash kind of undermined their Plan A to hire Steele and made them actually consider conducting a search.

Sorry for the caps.
