I don’t get why we don’t set our eyes on someone and go get him. I get it is not Kirby, nick or Dabo but make someone that is top shelf tell us no.

I thought the surprise coach who has now expressed interest in the AU job was Brent Venables....

and why anyone would put out a 'compromise candidate'....what the heck is a compromise candidate? I can just see all these wallet PTB sitting around and coming up with a compromise HC. They would get run out of town by Auburn supporters...they may be dumb...but not stupid.

I just saw you responded to this. That was created by a AU family mod. Tons of spelling errors and taken as gospel. It has been called bullshite on multiple levels, yet is being made viral by boomers and gumps.

I’m cool with Bill Clark. What he has done at UAB is unprecedented, especially considering the football program was temporarily disbanded...which is essentially worse than the Death Penalty. In-state recruiting would be taken over, which would halfway be because of Bill Clark’s history in-state and halfway because Alabama recruits all over the country.
UAB has won 3 straight conference championships. After losing their football program. Think about it.
With him being a defensive minded coach, hiring a solid to great OC would be imperative, but I think it’s doable.
