I’m not gonna lie, Jang. I was dragging-arse in church today, and wasn’t as sharp as I should’ve been (might have had something to do with all the late night banter going on here?…and the Whiskey )

Although I was still really stoked to break out “frickchuckle”…I didn’t wanna press to hard and not use it appropriately in proper conversational context.

However I got a PERFECT opening at brunch after our waitress sufficiently fricked up on getting parts of our order straight…(and after my wife groused about how long things were taking to get to the table)…I “took my shot”.

My wife was mortified, my daughter was completely embarrassed, my son laughed his arse off…my Buddy who we were dining with damn near spit out his hash-browns…and the rest of his respective family looked really uneasy & awkward.

So?…no to dropping “frickchuckle” at Church.

…But it went about as PERFECTLY as it possibly could when I debuted it at Brunch.

(For her troubles…I still tipped our frickchuckle-waitress 30% for having to endure the entire situation)

First off, great story. I can already see the looks on my wife's and my mother in law's face if I said something like that then. I doubt I would have pulled it off because, of course, you have to sound serious while it just rolls off your tongue. Naturally I would stutter and then overcorrect by repeating the word much louder than intended and the whole room goes quite while you hear the climatical sound of silverware clang to the plate as they check to see if I was drunk.

The brunch setting is kinda hard to just drop a frickchuckle whenever you want, so picking on retail is the best way to go about it. Just don't be like me and wear out that word. Dont be Newman.

I really enjoy being apart of this board. I waited 16 months and sent probably 10 requests while lurking. But this is what I wanted AUFamily to be when it became the AuburnEagle. WDE baws

disagree, used it at the table today. Had to explain it's meaning to my wife but used it none the less. She has a great sense of humor. We were in a restaurant when it happened.

So Jang there is your challenge use the word in public in a casual setting.

Mine? Wife asked me a question about a group of folks...I said they were a bunch of "fricknuckles" She laughed and I had to explain. Of course she knows I love finding new/old words and throwing them in sentences...yeah this one is made up but it still counts. Of course, I am a sailor and use language like one.

NICE work, 88!!

So?…that means at least two of us on the board used “frickchuckle” at a restaurant within mere hours after having heard it for the very FIRST time??!!!!

Hell Yeah, Man !!
