ETA: with someone like Frost, can't coach the marshmallow out of someone

Seriously? This is the most absurd "fault" that you idiots keep throwing onto Frost. On that Laquon Treadwell play Frost was actually blitzing the QB. He ran all the way back after several missed tackles to make that play at the goal line.

He still needs to add upper body strength, which is why at times he tends to be overwhelmed by size. That is NOT the same as being "soft". Yeah, run defense in traffic is something that he still needs to work on, but guess what, if you're expecting every LB on the team to be a guy who blows blockers up and shuts the power run game down by himself, then turns around and defends passes 20 yards down the field, and then runs side-line to side-line and flawlessly makes tackles on the edges...you're going to be waiting a long time.

He doesn't even come close to plugging holes like a LB should nor taking on blockers and scrapping.

We bitched for years about Holland doing it. Frost shouldn't get a free pass just because he isn't shitty at other things

I think some of us are so used to seeing shitty linebacker play, it's hard to realize when there is actually good play.

Kris Frost and Cass McKinzy have been pretty damn good for us.

Agreed. I made the statement the other night that we really need both LBs to stay if we plan to have any success or show any signs of improvement next year. Frost is still learning how to play downhill. That's the hardest thing to do for a LB. The guy has great skills in the open field. He has trouble keeping his eyes up when he gets into the trash close to the line.

Some consistent D line play will go a long way to making Cass and Frost look better. They are much better than their predecessors that we couldn't wait to get rid of.

Just like on offense, we came and went as our line did. But that's just football.

He plays well just not in run defense. When he has gap respnisbility he rarely plugs it if there is a blocker there.

When he has gap and it is 1 on 1 with the RB like Chubb in the UGA game he deer in the headlights freezes

Frost looks good because he is so damn athletic. There is a reason though aguy like Anthony Swaim comes in and looks promising though. It's because he plays aggressively plugging up holes. Put that in Frost and he could be GOAT level

Cass and Swain are the thumpers for sure but I have a feeling that Frost never will be that kind of player. Football has changed so much that Frost is going to play a long time because of his versatility. He has safety skills at LB.

Muschamp's last press conference at Florida. Worth watching.

I want him back on our sidelines.

God, please don't let it take that long.

I agree, I think Gus wants a DC in place before the bowl game.

Why would he wait that long? He could come in now coach the bowl game, get to know the players, start helping with recruiting etc...

Come on Will just take the job, please. I'll do anything!

If it's true, it most likely means he wants some time off away from football.

Looks like Spurrier knows what's up. Boom gone

So let's focus on the other names we know.

I wish we could wait that long, but we need somone in place to start teaching fundamentals and try to get this defense on track. Especially having to play Wisconsin and Melvin Gordon in 25 days.
