Christ Almighty man, he's been out of the country on vacation. How much work do you do on vacation? Personally I do absolutely none; that's why it's a vacation.
I'm not saying he accepts, but he's not playing us. He probably was enjoying the time with his family. Coaches rarely see them.

FWIW JGT chimed in on the Houston thing
-does not think it's credible at all
-does not think they can match our or SC money
-does not think Boom wants to be a HC at a little 5 school
-the last coach was fired because of offensive play and would not make sense to hire Boom given the offensive struggles at UF
Looks like the Houston stuff was Ron Sanders fluffing his dumb arse football rumor mill site so I will remove the Houston stuff from the OP til someone with some validity reports on it.

I don't do any work on vacation. But if we're getting real, there's little work I wouldn't do on vacation if it involves a realistic discussion about how many millions of dollars I am about to be making

Yeah, if I'm a guy in his position, you're damn right I'm going to be on the phone with my agent while I'm on vacation when it comes to making millions of dollars.
That said, I do think everything has been delayed to an extent because he was on vacation. I'm sure it still didn't stop him from being in contact with his agent this whole time though.
