Against Bama? Nope.

Against New Mexico State? Yep, for the full game on both sides of the ball.

It was truly the worst officiated game I’ve ever seen.

Sometimes I wonder how we root for the same team.

A day after the shocker, it really came down to a muffed punt and a hell of a Hail Mary that went against us. Every team that has lost on a Hail Mary never can accept it but it’s a part of the game and has happened quite often. The coaches didn’t embarrass us and neither did the players. They made a few less plays but the atmosphere was legendary. Sux we lost but it wasn’t because we weren’t prepared. To the weirdo calling this an embarrassing loss, you should probably pick a new team.

It wasn't a hail Mary it was an intentional pass to a receiver in good position because of a terrible defensive call

What calls were missed on us? That should have been called?
Bama fans think every play is PI or holding, unless it's their own team

(1) Muffing a punt in that situation is inexcusable... we didn't need field position - no punt returner and we either flat out win or they have to drive the field. Knowing how the game played out we would have run prevent though with no pass rush so who knows how that may have gone

(2) That wasn't a Hail Mary. It was a 30 yard pass on a rope directly to a receiver in the corner of the endzone. QB had 6 seconds to throw because we sent 0 pass rush due to an absolute coaching meltdown

EXTREMELY embarrassing way to lose and 100% a preparedness issue. Ironically it is detail oriented stuff. Having a solid backup punt returner being issue #1 and having a staff prepared for the "what if" scenarios at the ends of games being issue #2.

That was a 50 yard pass on a rope.

10 for the end zone

32 for the yardage counted

10 for the drop back ......

We caught a huge break on the offsides… should have beek illegal shift and offsetting penalties.

Why would it be an illegal shift if the defensive player was offsides which is a dead ball foul? I’m sincerely curious about what really should have happened there. Offense is allowed to shift players but they have to be set for 1 sec before snap BUT if the defense was clearly offsides does that take precedence over the illegal shift?

Not an illegal shift. Lineman wasn't in a three point stance. Flanker free to move. Nothing to stop them from moving to the other side of the formation. Exactly where they were going .......What made it sound dumb ....the announcers calling a free play on a penalty based on pre snap. The play was over when Bama crossed the neutral zone ....

Even worse was Thorne thinking he had a free shot on the pre snap penalty .....

Gary the idiot didn't help.
