Ole Miss would release it for recruiting and publicity that they will pay their coaches. Unless it's required to be on the down low for some odd reason because the ones it matters to will know if they want like Auburn or anyone coming to hire him.
Everyone else waves big buyouts as if it is a big check.

Last I heard/read, Rhule only wanted to coach at a few select school’s IF he came back - and none of the school’s he would go to have vacancies or impending vacancies.
The biggest reason I think that people have been assuming Rhule was going to not coach anywhere is because of his buyout from the Panthers having a dollar to dollar offset, i.e. whatever he's making at another job, the Panthers deduct that from what they pay him.
However, that buyout is paid out over the rest of the length of his Panthers contract, which was a ridiculous 7 years when he signed it.

Heard a VERY interesting stat on Rhule this morning:
Would you believe he has never beat a ranked team?!??

No, I wouldn't...because it's not true. He beat two ranked teams while at Temple (#19 Navy and #21 Memphis).

Stoops doing well in Kentucky is a good thing, since it's wholly a basketball school, even the basketball coach said so.

WOW!
Beating powerhouses like Memphis and Navy is quite mind blowing.
Hire him RFN

The stat he meant to give is that Rhule is 1-14 all-time against postseason ranked teams with his lone victory against #25 Texas when he was at Baylor.

1) Posts a completely false "stat" that he probably saw posted by his uncle on Facebook without doing two seconds of fact-checking.
2) Comes back with an equally irrelevant counter-point once he's been proven wrong.
Just leave the heavy thinking for others, man.

Stoops relies heavily on Ohio recruiting. That won’t work at Auburn. And he’s not going to move the needle for top recruits in Alabama, Georgia or Florida.

I don’t like this. Seems like a Jimmy Sexton special. Lane will get a raise.

I don't care anymore lol.
Yes, they're absolutely right. He should have beaten more impressive Top 25 teams at Temple. Oh, and in his whopping 3 years at Baylor wherein he had to rebuild from the ground up after a mass-exodus due to an institutional sexual assault scandal he should have whipped Top 10 Oklahoma and Georgia teams in his 3rd year on the job haha! What a looooser!
Imagine trying to build up some random arse "stat" argument for a guy who spent 4 seasons at mighty Temple and 3 seasons at Baylor after a scandal that was so bad that the coach during it can't even get a job coaching HS today.
It took me two secs to find some equally pointless stats:
Dabo Swinney in his first 3 seasons as HC of Clemson: 2-7 against ranked teams.
Nick Saban at Michigan State: 0-3 in Bowl games (they lost the Bowl game in his final season with the interim as well so maybe even 0-4 had he stayed lol).

Here’s the article where they say the buyout is “Healthy”. What does healthy mean though? I’m thinking 50% of remaining salary but that’s just a WAG.
Of course, he should also be aware of the exact dollar amount. The fact that he doesn’t reveal it, but instead makes vague comments about it being “healthy”, seems to imply it isn’t much at all.
Generally speaking, SEC HCs have little or no buyouts if they decide to leave for other jobs. I would be surprised if Kiffin’s is more than $5 million. Which isn’t nothing, but hardly a dealbreaker.

I get what you’re saying and I agree with all that actually. I never said Rhule would be a bad hire. Just seemed as if there was at least SOME smoke & mirrors there. We just don’t know for sure. But there are NO sure things in this business.

No Rhule?
Wouldn't we have the same issues with him like Harsin? I want SEC recruiting connections. Does Rhule have that

Rhule would hire that. I could see him going Dell McGee type guys for his staff, an Auburn guy or 2 that is a known SEC recruiter. He made hires at Baylor that were starting to pay off, and those guys got hired by other schools when he left
