Want to start by saying, obviously I don’t like our chances in this game. Think it’s a bad matchup. But from everything I have been watching on tv from the media and reading on boards, all the talk is LSU vs Bama. Basically pencilling it in as 1 vs 2. This can’t be a bad thing for us. Gotta know the kids at Lsu are hearing this and buying into some of it.

The media and their fans probably are overlooking us but I doubt their players are.

No way they overlook us.

They have a bye week after us, so they don't have to think about Alabama right away.

...and they always feel confident over us, especially in BR.

So here are my thoughts on the LSU game:

Our defense is legit good, and probably the best LSU will face to this point in the season; especially considering the fact that Florida was without Zuniga and Greenard. The defense made two awful plays against UF, but otherwise shut them down for majority of the game. I trust us to be able to stop their run, and for Brown and Davidson to apply some pressure to Burrow. Also, outside of the two aforementioned plays against UF, our defense has been incredibly solid tackling this year. If we can avoid any busted coverage, we should at least be able to make LSU drive and earn all of their points.

The key will be our offense. A great defensive effort will likely only hold LSU to high 20's, low 30's. And similar to UF, if the offense isn't able to move the ball, drain clock, and flip field position regularly during the game, LSU will inevitably breakthrough and pile it on. So we will have to move the ball consistently to even give our defense a chance to keep us in the game.

In the end it will still take an almost perfect game offensively for us to hit 30 points and have a chance at the win. Nix will have to play his best game of his career, and we will have to convert in the red zone. I believe this will mean DJ Williams and Gatewood will need to be given opportunities and they will need to convert. LSU has proven vulnerable on defense, but I'm afraid we may be back to square one with Gus figuring out the offense, without his bell cow at RB. Hopefully, we are able to find something on offense this week against Arky, and then to OP's point I hope the LSU defense is overlooking us, because if they are, then I think our defense will give them a few more fits than they are used to.

Orgeron doesn’t seem like that type of coach at LSU. He fits so perfect it’s insane there.

It’s amazing. We lose a game in probably the most hostile road environment in the country that Saturday, a game that we could have easily one save for a play or two, and we suck lol

Never change AU board

AU's defense is monstrous in the front 7. We are very average in the secondary, imo. LSU will throw all over us IF Burrow has any time at all.

Basically the front 7 is going to have to have the game of their lives and live in Burrow's face. Only chance we have. If Burrow has 3-4 seconds every throw, we are getting destroyed. They'll put up 40+. And I don't trust Nix enough yet to outscore them.

I trust us to shut down the run, but that won't matter. LSU wins games throwing.

I predict something like

LSU 35
AU 21
