Just think, if we'd canned Gustav and hired him after 2015 as some here suggested, we could be winless in conference play too.

Just saying, our program could actually be in worse shape.

My only real complaint is our piss poor ROI. Paying top 5 salaries for unranked results.

Alan Greene would deserve to be fired if that's who he hires.

Even knowing what we know now...I still can't understand why anyone wanted Petrino more than Gus.

I wasn't clamoring for him in 2012 when just about every auburn fan had him as their darling superhero. I didn't want Gus. but I sure as hell didn't want Petrino either

I had the same argument for everyone that wanted him as HC "What has he done to convince you he'll be a great HC here?" and only response they could give me was his Arkansas teams kicked our asses in 2009 and 2011

a local sports anchor John Longshore (big bammer homer) nailed it on the head "Petrino was HC of a SEC program in a state where he had no competition (referring to Arkansas) but he never once pulled in a top recruiting class there"

I think I’ve counted 4ish threads all directed at Auburn fans. Did we interview him in 2012? I can’t remember.

I was nervous about the idea of having him as a coach and my fears were correct. He is simply incapable of running a Div I program.

The committee traveled to Montana to meet with him, but each we're understanding that there was no intent to hire him.
