Can't believe we're favored by 24. No way we cover that IMO.. I expect another very vanilla game

I'm hoping Gus opens the floodgates. The only thing that makes me think he won't is being unsure of Cameron Artis Payne. I'm still not completely sold on him and am really hoping if he can't be the guy Peyton Barber will pick up the slack.

24 is way too much... Arkansas is built to keep games close with their runing game and winning TOP. I think they'll score enough to make covering difficult.

But we were great ATS last year... it may carry over to 2014.

I anticipate Auburn to begin the game airing it out (like the Tennessee game last year) on their opening drive, then balancing it out with the run game with some short and deep passes to keep the defense honest. Auburn settles into the run-heavy game again.

Arky comes out swinging with a fairly robust run game (and even scores first), but is unable to sustain it for all four quarters, and after Auburn scores on a kickoff return to start the half the game is not in question. Auburn doesn't cover, but wins convincingly. 42-27

ETA: anyone know if Gus likes to script entire drives?

Arkansas has given us fits and seems to have had our number. I think that situation has changed but I have great respect for their program.

Opening with San Jose would have suited me much better but I was not asked how to set the schedule.

We need to start off in midseason form and I really feel the coaching staff will have the team ready. I don't want to leave the game thinking we need to show great improvement for the next game.

I would be happy with a 1 point victory.

Position by position we're just better than them. Add that we're at home and it's too much. I've seen less talented teams at every position out scrap and overcome against good teams but I can't see it happening from this Arkansas team yet

I know I'm necromancing a dead thread here, but man the Arky response to that troll thread on the SECr makes me impatient for the start of the season.

Some of them are obviously trolling but damn it feels like some of them actually think they should be favored or some shite.

Every now and then one of them will admit they're gonna get rolled. Most of them seem to actually think they're gonna pull off the win. I want Gus to run the swinging gate first play from scrimmage and drop a bomb.

I can't blame them for getting excited. This is the season where everyone is undefeated and koolaid sales are high.

They did improve in near wins against msu and lsu to end the season. We improved as well.
