I didn’t get the chance to meet him. I was supposed to over the holidays and he canceled last minute on a group of folks I was with. It wasn’t a huge deal but he invited two guys I worked briefly in the economics department with that were in position to give generously to the university. They still did. It was just a weird day. But I’ve found out since then that he was pretty flakey

Well that was unexpected. I kind of thought he’d be a good president for our academics and specifically our graduate research. Heard nothing but bad things since he has been hired though so maybe he was just a bad fit here.
