This isn't unique to the Auburn fan base though. UGA fans are constantly melting about their team, and they are #6 in the polls right now. Same with LSU. The fan bases that don't melt, are the ones that are accustomed to losing and don't have high expectations every year. Also, the melters are always the loudest and most vocal. It's not that the entire fan base melts, but those are the ones that you hear from.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just think the older generation of Auburn fans are more leniet to subpar results. Those of us Auburn fans that are younger than 40 aren't.
