I’ve never been to an in person protest in my life before, but I’d consider it if this happened.

I know where the Mountain West conference office is. I'll hold it hostage if they rule against us.

In all seriousness, if they try to make an example of Auburn after we jumped through all the hoops to please them - we should go to war with the NCAA.
It will mean that not only did we comply and apologize and self-penalize, the NCAA saw that as weakness (vs, say LSU) and thinks we won't fight back if they use us as their punching bag since other schools won't give the time a day.

This zoom call thing is weird. I don't know if I've ever heard of this before. It's going to be good or really bad.

If you think we get away with time served you are kidding yourself, we will get something (and a postseason ban wouldn’t be surprising) and Forde and company will rush to applaud the NCAA for their righteous proclamation against the evil that is Auburn

I hope the athletic department is prepared with a strong statement to the NCAA if this goes off the rails as I anticipate

PTB will get shouted out of their title if they don’t support Bruce no matter what. ADAG is the one guy that is least interested in being in Auburn though so that doesn’t help, but ADAG is on Bruce’s side.

If we get a postseason ban, we should just go rogue and do whatever we want. Screw the NCAA.

The only person that would worry me in this situation from an internal perspective is Jay Gogue or a new President.

It’s not that bad

NCAA:

-Auburn basketball will be placed on probation for four years.
-Two game suspension for Bruce Pearl this season
-$5,000 fine, 3% of basketball budget
-Reduce the # of scholarships by two during the probation period
-NO postseason ban

13? We’ve been using 11-12 recently anyway it seems. Am I wrong there?

Seems like less of a big deal nowadays when we have kids going to the NBA or transferring freely

Aren’t you? Didn’t we need Javon Franklin to leave to free up room?
