This is the time of year. I just picked us to win by 6 earlier. A few weeks ago I hoped for a good game and we could surprise. Before that I was not sold on Coach Harsin at all and figured a 6-6 type season.
Well, as always, we get a few wins and I am feeling it. I will probably have us picked to win by 30 by Friday.
Stadium full of white Pom poms? Ok. It’s not like we haven’t played in SEC environs, some where there are earthquakes and dinosaurs.

The year after Sullivan and Beasley graduated. I sat across the desk from Shug. At my side was the man who recruited the 1957 National Championship team. My Grand Father asked him "Coach what do you think about our season this year?" Ever the southern gentleman ... Shug responded "We will be lucky to win three games."

Ever so often even the established experienced coaches misread the heart and soul of a team ....That season was ended by the cry that reverberates to this day. "Punt Bama Punt"

My part? I committed to walking on in August, then blew out a knee playing baseball in June. Philadelphia in the stands scouting.

Me too Pete, me too. Along with the wife saying "why do you put yourself through this".

Least you and I have some enjoyment for a few weeks. Some on here lament the season even started, and then mope through I told you so from the first loss til the end of the season.

I think we come out firing on all cylinders and it looks like the Tenn game, punctuated with Tank or Hunter bowling over a Penn State DB, with R Brown on the sidelines yelling thats my boys just like I showed you years ago.

My take on this is with Gus I would have penciled, excuse me, penned in a automatic lose. At least with the new staff…I have hope. Rebellions are built on hope. Now, let’s win the whole freakin thing.

Hope is a dangerous thing. But, who cares? I think we are about to open a can on Penn St.

We haven't won in them either, at least not the guys on this team. Hoping Saturday is the start of reversing that trend.
