Just finished 2 days of jury duty (jury selection) in Atlanta. Ultimately didn’t get picked for a murder trial from Feb 2022. The judge was an absolutely hilarious Auburn ‘85 grad named Craig Schwall - not sure if any of you know him. By the end of the day today, he looked like me when I wake up on Saturday mornings.

I have done jury duty a few times in north Georgia and it was a shite show. I cant even imagine the BS in Atlanta.

Good job on NOT getting picked.

Fresh back home from playing gigs the last two nights at PCB for biker week. Bikers and scantily clad trashy women everywhere. Was quite the sight but everyone was really cool and we had too much fun.

sounds like a blast pete

got 10 gigs with my main band lined up in Pcola over the next 4 months, starting Mothers Day, with at least two more in the works

second band project making its debut end of June

if you’d told me 3 years ago that i would be playing regularly with people i adore, in front of enthusiastic crowds, and getting paid for it, i’d have been absolutely giddy

Sometimes things just work out. For the good a well.

I grew up very normal and my wife grew up extremely poor. If you would have told me back in 1983 when we met that we would be sitting where we are right now, living the life that we are, I would have thought you were crazy. Hell if you would have told me 15 years ago I would have thought you were crazy. Sometimes things work out.

Do you guys have any videos of you playing? ryan@lanierspots.com

Its just waiting on me. I got a text from it today wanting to go fishing. So Tuesday, we go. Weather looks good so we are heading out about 30 miles west of Eggmont Key.

Probably take off Thursday as well and fish in shore. Got a friend who wants to catch a snook.

Spring business has been a little off this year. Things just got busy all the sudden so Im happy about that. We worked all day today.

Praying these mortgage interest rates start to fall so I can refi my house and buy a new boat.

You OK?

Doing good. Mentioned it a while back but one of the companies I helped establish out of CU has done very well and they’ve brought me in house. Started as charity and has resulted in much more, and I still have my full time job

This weekend was the first back home in a few weeks and I’m going to Europe with the family next week. Will be home through June after that and hopefully done with that kind of travel. And hopefully that’s it for a while.

That is awesome. A lot of unpack on that video. I know I saw a lead singer in overalls at some point.

Pretty cool.

Dude that sounds great.

Screw Europe. I honestly have zero interest in going there. Never have. I hope you have a good time though. LOL

Wife is back in Georgia for two weeks so I am bacheloring it here. Going fishing a few days this week. Today would have been a great day but I just needed a day to unwind today. Did a little shopping this morning and have spent the rest of the day on the couch. A very rare thing for me. Even doing simple dinner. Grabbed a pre made Costco pizza when I was out.

My fishing partner down here sold his boat and pulled the trigger on a new Sportsman 28TE Friday. Picking it up this week. Looking forward to us having a bigger boat to go offshore. A little safer as well.

I hate traveling anywhere as a baseline. My life and home are pretty sweet and I like routine. It’s paid for and it’s 10 days total so I’m good. Oslo and Stockholm so nothing too wild.

I was on a Grady 30ish footer a month ago and couldn’t imagine having a bigger boat. It was my buddy’s neighbors. We weren’t too far off shore and weren’t fishing

Gradys are such nice boats. Expensive too. Great boats...

There is nothing wrong with getting comfy at home. It is what it should be like,

I remember that. Against better judgement, a knucklehead from the crowd was allowed on stage to sing. We’ve nipped that kind of crap in the bud because it almost never goes well.

There are exceptions, but you have to be smart. Our boy Tristan from American Idol is always welcome to come up.
