I wasn't defending Chizik at all, I already consider him gone. I just think we need someone new, and a lot of people use Yoxall's awards from a long time ago to defend him. Well Chizik won the broyles award as a DC, maybe we should give him more time?
As much as I hate Cochran he gets the job done in T-Town

FootballScoop is proud to announce that Kevin Yoxall (Auburn) is the 2010 FootballScoop Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year presented by SpeedTracs.

In the nation's most physical conference, the Tigers' roster remained as healthy as any SEC team, a true credit to "Yox" and his entire strength staff.

The SEC is a "line of scrimmage" league and the Tigers were as tough, mentally and physically, as any team in the country.

In nominating Yoxall for this award, a highly respected strength coach told FootballScoop, "Yox is a true professional. He has been one of the best in our profession for a long time. You won't find a better prepared staff or a better overall strength and conditioning program. I saw first-hand how well-conditioned his guys were this season."

Another coach praised Yoxall by explaining, "When a team can come from behind as many times as Auburn did this year, a lot of credit goes to the coaching staff as it should. But strength coaches take great pride in that as well. It's a credit to Yox. He helped form the chemistry, attitude, and mental toughness. He helped form that foundation well before the season started, I promise."

Coach Yoxall has been the head strength & conditioning coach at Auburn since 1999. Prior to that, he served in the same capacity at UCLA from 1995-1999 and at Minnesota from 1992-1995.

The undefeated Auburn Tigers have earned a trip to the BCS National Championship game, where the Tigers will play the Oregon Ducks in Glendale, Arizona on January 10th.

The FootballScoop Coaches of the Year awards presented by SpeedTracs are the only set of awards that recognize the most outstanding position coaches in college football. The finalists (Yoxall, Matt Balis - Mississippi State and Jim Radcliffe - Oregon) were selected based off of nominations by coaches, athletic directors, and athletic department personnel. A panel of coaches including previous recipients determined the 2010 winners.

Previous winners of the Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year award are Don Summer (TCU, 2008) and Joey Batson (Clemson, 2009).

Did not know that. I do have to ask, what credentials does football scoop have in judging s&c programs?

Maybe our next coach will start feeding our players what they've been using at Alabama for the past five years.

It is the culture of our program right now

This is why a change would be nice. The players get complacent and lazy. They need a spark IMo
