Jang runs tight ship. Also speaks angrily while carrying small stick. I don’t think getting a thread pinned is that important lol.

So another walk on kicker in Meyers of Opelika?
What’s going on here w all these walk on kickers and we still have Carlson for 2 years?
...but still no punter for 2020.

Who knows. Gus was pretty secretive with the punting situation. He says he has a plan though. Lee once predicted the Troy punter/ K to Auburn though that ship might have sailed. Bo did a fine job punting 30 yards when needed though. I hope we run him out on 4th and short a lot. Situations like that can cause split second chaos resulting in first downs. Will also prevent returns.

I hate it on 247. They are pretty... um... liberal with that tag.

Nix and Stidham both were DTQBs on 247 and neither should have been. Rivals listed Stidham a DTQB as well...

But I love me a true DTQB. Guys like Cam, Nick Marshall, Jalen Hurts, Khalil Tate, Pat White, Justin Fields, Devin Gardner, or Dennis Dixon would absolutely wreck it in our offense and put up video game numbers.

Yet we recruit pocket passers...

Hopefully Morris can bring something to the table to actually get the most out of our guys and we wont need an electric true DTQB to make the plays for us. The Gus offense has gotten incredibly stale while running pocket passing QBs. Hopefully Morris will hold Gus's hand during the change so he doesnt freak out and go back to being the Gus we have had the last 7 years... which is letting the OC be OC in name alone. I dont think that will work on Morris though.

Gus said all the right things yesterday within the TE discussion to make me believe Morris actually will.

The one thing that has me optimistic for offensive improvement is that Chadwick needs to prove himself competent after the absolute disaster at Arky. I can’t see him going to Gustav and saying, “hey pal, I need a job where I can just walk around with a whistle and a clipboard and get a paycheck so my former bosses can get off the hook for part of my buyout”.

Morris needs to show he can run an effective offense at this level to get his career back on track. Gustav needs an effective offense or his HC career at this level is over. Hopefully both men’s egos will allow them to make it work.

Gus mentioned yesterday that a number of staff members are getting some extended time off. In CFB, that’s not a long time still but we may see some things slow down with recruiting.

Gus said that last year they planned a lot of official visits in February. These are small adjustments that help us keep support staff people, IMO.

There's also yet another new dead period the NCAA added this year. It goes through the rest of February. This one makes sense. In return I wish they would give the coaches the last couple weeks in August back so the coaches can go see the bigger games that tend to happen in weeks 0 & 1 of the high school season. But alas they aren't.

Dylan Brooks enjoyed the visit. Likes that Auburn has a need at pass rusher because that’s what he does best according to him. Also said some complimentary things about the environment at the basketball game, and CRG. All of this is a summary of an article from 247.

Will be disappointed if we don’t get this guy.

Wasn't Brooks at almost every home game for us last year?

Any idea why we aren't giving Ian Jackson a look? Kid grew up an Auburn fan and already has an offer from Bama, FSU, Louisville, OM, Tenn, TAMU, WV, among his 19 offers.
