Why have we not already offered this kid? Our QB recruiting since Chad came in seems strange.

Competitor, fairly strong arm, accurate, CAN READ DEFENSES, does all the small things right. Now he just needs to put on some more muscle and work on foot speed. Seems to have 2 different throwing motions depending on where he is targeting. Short quick dart like throwing motion over the quick middle and a longer slightly 3/4 motion when throwing deeper routes. Good feet placement on most throws. Really seems to feel the rush without panicking. Corch Jay's 247 based scoring I would put him about a .9250

247 released some commitment data today showing that there are about 2x more commitments right now than there were in previous seasons.

Sounds like they’re expecting a lot of decommitments across the country before signing day.

CBs are starting to roll in for AU, including KN. I don’t expect Davis to commit soon.

I have to give props to the Hokie fans. They love their football. There is a 26 page thread on their 247 site that was started just yesterday from their Mod saying sources were losing confidence on Davis. That was before the decommitment but that's a staggering number of pages in that short a time.

I’d be surprised if we push hard for him based on who Morris has targeted so far
That plus Keith says the 2022 QB class is stacked.

Likely scheme fit plus this class is supposely stacked with quality QBs..

AU trending big for Davis. 14 picks combined between Rivals & 247 reporters in the pas hour alone.

Wow, once all the CBs got what they needed (Davis' decommitment) they jumped all over CBing him to AU) (14 and counting)...

Is it a slow sports time or what?

FWIW Sam Spiegelman (Rivals Texas & Louisiana Recruiting Analyst) & JLee think it will be on the Sooner side. 14 picks to AU so fast would seem to follow that. SS has been as good as Keith covering Davis.

Yes but not the reason for all the picks now. Rivals reporters can't make picks while guys are committed, not even flips. As for 247, given this is a weird arse cycle they were probably waiting for him to formally decommit before making AU picks.

Also I don't understand what you are trying to say in this part.

Not worth being pissed about. We weren't ever getting him. He understandably was not pleased with Gus's QB development.

On the flip side, I don't feel comfortable taking private school QBs.

Nothing like our own negative recruiting against ourselves.

So what OC/HC from college will have 2 starting NFL QBs next year? Just wondering

Not being negative. Just relaying what was said during his recruitment.

Lincoln Riley. It's a contributing factor in his success in QB recruiting & transfers.
