If Gus gets fired, T-Will should most definitely get an interview for the HC job.

Seeing a decently clear trend now. Some outliers (Crowder- no offer, Miller Moss - offered) but most of the QBs offered look like runners.

Kyron Drones:
16-0, state championship in Texas

3400 yards (58%), 46 TD, 10 INT
825 (6.2 YPC) rushing, 18 TD

Completion percentage isn’t the prettiest (but not bad for his style of play). Stats scream playmaker

I didn’t realize Bo dipped a bit under 60% his senior year of high school. He was at 64% his junior year.

I hate how all of his throws are predetermined but I can see why HS coaches like using that for simplicity

Didnt mean to. I very much agree his stats and his film scream playmaker. Much more with his arm than his legs though. There are only a handful of runs in that 6 min video. Nix seems more of a DT guy than him. But he can sling it.

However... He either has to be the fastest 4.9 player ive ever seen or those guys chasing him have to be like 5.5 guys lol

Edit. From his hudl film HUDL

His rushing stats are good. The college game continues to move more pass heavy and I think the dual threat guys want to display the arm and throwing as best they can in highlights.

I imagine he’s a back up plan at this point. I’m curious to know if Bo runs more next season after seeing all these QB offers made by Morris but that’s better saved for another thread

Drone’s pocket mobility is very impressive. Instead of ducking to escape the pocket, he wiggles out of tackles and proceeds to throw if he can.

The Kaidon Salter kid looks impressive to me. Could be his offense

Salter and Drones both look like quality QBs. For me as far as what I saw on their Hudl videos I think I like Drones delivery better and his deep ball accuracy. The are rated almost identical and both seem to have a high upside based on arm strength and athleticism. Probably recruiting will go with character, academics, and the intangibles. Both seem like solid #2 QB prospects for this class.

*side note* no wonder the Big12 Qbs have a field day. Even in high school the defensive backs can't cover or tackle. Absolutely horrible. And they then take that into the many schools in the big 12.

FWIW Jhead on the bunker says Chad is recruiting Keyes very hard right now. It's believed that he plans to commit sometime in the spring after a couple of visits & if he was choosing today AU is believed to be the pick.

So bama hired Charlie Strong as an analyst and we hired someone that was a "volunteer assistant" at SMU

Gus is still playing 3D chess with his job on the line.

Based on Strongs past, I think we got the better deal.

Will Bryant was an offensive analyst with Chad last two seasons at Arkansas. Doing the same thing at Auburn it looks like. I’m good with Dallas connections if Chad is going to start recruiting that area at Auburn

Will Bryant was brought in for a purpose. Strong may end up DC in the long run but for now he’s there for coaching rehab.
