Wow, lots to unpack in this thread.
That's part of the deal with a floating floor like that. Room looks great though man.
I hate that for you man. My parents split when I was 8. They still don't like each other 20 years later, but I love the hell out of both of them for realizing they don't have to like each other in order to look out for me and my brothers.

Hate that for you WARTIGER2004 (see what I did there). Seems like Rocky has a lot of sound advice on the matter. Also be careful what you post online about the divorce/your wife. I know that has bit spouses in the arse. There are a ton of divorce threads on the OT that might have some useful info if you have time to burn. Let us know if we can help

I went through a divorce 3 years ago and believe what Rocky said 'better days are ahead". I was glad to get away from my ex, I only felt bad for my kids because they are the ones that go through the most emotions. We have 50/50 custody so I get them a week and then she gets them a week, both of them want to live with me full time but it's hard to get full custody from a mother unless she agrees to it. Their Mom has gone down a bad path and I worry about my kids when they are not with me, hopefully it works out one day. As for better days I've found a good, low maintenance woman that is a big upgrade from my ex. If you have any questions I can help you with I will be glad to help to the best of my knowledge.

Just spent last weekend there, stayed at Zota Beach Resort. Really nice, laid back vibe to the place. We liked it. If you're interested in something even more laid back than AMI, you might want to check out Cedar Key, about 150 miles further up the Big Bend from Sarasota. I've never been, but my buddy from Indiana swears by the place - totally old school, pre-Disney Florida. Also literally in the middle of nowhere, and not easy to get to from anywhere else - which sounds like heaven to me

It wasn't a big invoice. $700 or so but its just the point. My system keeps telling me its late and it needs to be paid. They seen to have a bucket load of excuses but I have just decided that I will start calling them every single day till I get paid
My customers are on EFT. I draft their account on the due date. Still doesn't wipe out bad debt........EFT's bounce too.

That would be so much better than what we do but people in the fishing business would never go for it. Too many like to float payments and unfortunately, it is the norm and has been done that way for too many years
