Gus now makes 1.4 million a year more than Urban Meyer...who is 61-6 all time.

We already know it isn't accurate. Good post, though.

Urban Meyer isn’t 61-6? He lost more than six games at Florida alone. He lost five in 2010 alone.

Your whole post is wrong.

Urban Meyer has coached probably twice as many games as the 67 you mentioned. His coaching record is elite, make no mistake, but he lost 5 games in his last year at UF

The seven-year deal is worth a total of $49 million

How is this going to work? 7x7 = 49m. Either its like 10m at the end or its 6.5 in the beginning.

I used becuase the difference in the 2 stats worked out to be about 1%. if you say thats incorrect enough to be wrong then so be it.

thats the problem with this board though, everything has to be an argument. we cant ever just have a discussion. someone always has to start acting like a dick and turn it into an argument.

yeah I misspoke. either way you look at it he is 85% win percentage all time or 90% at UF and OSU, 91% at OSU alone. Gus doesnt compare any way you slice it.

You do understand that neither stat is his all time record, right? I’m getting the feeling that you don’t, and you produced both of them.

No one would argue this. Gus is around 70%. But like Jones said, Urban’s record is elite. Not even Saban has a winning percentage like that.

Probably the latter. I don't know how the incentive structure would work or if it's even a factor in the number.

Urban would make upwards of 7 if he tested the market.

I think everyone agrees with you that the coaches aren’t the same caliber, but 7 is the going rate right now
