On the refs. I’ll complain about them with the best of them, but you rarely see FT contests in the tourney because all eyes are on the tournament and no one wants to watch that, plus they have some tight tv windows to stay in so they usually let more stuff go which favors us on defense.
Loved the fight guys had and several guys stepped up. This was just a matter of one team being significantly more talented than the other. People like to act like Bruce is just a recruiter and bad at X’s and O’s but there’s zero shot this game should have been this close in Coleman. Thankfully based off what we are seeing in recruiting, Bruce is going back to guys that can shoot from deep and create their own shots. Who knows what the defense will look like though. I’m guessing we see more high risk/high reward play like he used to do.

Bruce subbed in different players call I think 2 time outs during that run.
What’s crazy is this maybe Bruce’s best coaching job over the course of a season.

Seriously. We're playing really well if you forget Kentucky's Super Bowl. Win Saturday like we should, and enjoy the tournament. Hope that Cardwell's ankle isn't serious.

Bruce has never been a great game day coach, or X’s and O’s guy.
His strength has always been in recruiting/evaluating, in practice developing guys, and motivating them to play aggressively.
The recruiting has failed the last couple of classes, we’ve had big miss after big miss. The entire roster has peaked their full potential, so there’s no room for Bruce to develop them any more. He’s also had a few evaluation misses recently. This team has very little chemistry, and you need a lot of chemistry to run Pearl’s offense and defense at high levels, so all his getting them amped up can backfire with this group. No more NBA bigs to make the difference in all these close games. The PG situation started bc Pearl and everyone else expected Cooper to be at Auburn for 2 years before passing the torch to Scoot Henderson, 2 unexpected misses there left big voids at PG the last 2 years, but it’s on Bruce for not being able to secure a better replacement. Wendell should’ve been a backup getting 10-15 minutes at best

I hear you. I’m really pissed at how Bruce squandered 25 seconds in regulation and took a really shitty shot.
Not to mention all the bad fouls he called on his own team.
Did you see all the FT’s Bruce missed? He needs to go so we can go and get, um, get, what was the name of that coach we need to go get again scoper?

We are still incredibly lucky to have Bruce. I’m not putting this on him. Dude has done wonders for AU basketball and still has lots left in the tank. There will be occasional down years(if this year is considered down). Some of you dudes seem to have a short memory of where AU basketball was prior to Bruce for several years.

He did. It was a clean look. Wendell sometimes make those. He simply missed.

Not Chris Moore. That’s not his role. Not Jaylin- he was clocked out once it got tough. Not KD-he is erratic and even if he did draw a foul he would miss free throws just like he missed 3/5 in the recent minutes before.

Agreed. Bottom line is we don't have the players to match up with most folks this year.
The SEC as a whole is not good this year. I feel bama is an illusion to some extent. The way they've played the past few games indicates they may not go as far as most expect.

I don't have a problem with Green getting the shot. I have a problem that we can't set some kind of play in motion. All we did was run a screen to get a bigger guy on Green and he had to shoot over him. Three people just stood there.

This has been our offense more often than not and it drives me nuts. It's like we don't have plays aside from seeing a screen then taking a 3
