We have an Offensive Coordinator with experience using this playbook .....

Why isn't he intelligent enough to teach these heads of mush, the playbook?

Each formation has a left/right aspect to it. The QB (ALL QB's) is expected to know that. how many times in a game do you see a QB set up the receivers because they went to the wrong side of the formation?

The QB better know the play and where everyone is expected to be ........No
one else is expected to do so.

My Senior year, when they decided we had a game in hand and coach's wanted to use the Sophomore .....I was moved to Full Back and stood outside the huddle to take the play from from the receiver ........because Craig was a mental case ......At times, I had to call the play in the huddle as well. Funny thing is ......Both of us received All Conference Honors at QB.

Read between the lines folks. You don't simplify the offense for a 5th year senior. You do that when you are getting a young QB ready to play.

The question is, are we really getting a young QB ready to play or are we putting a young QB in for one play every fourth or fifth series to pacify restless boosters and fans? I've seen the latter scenario recently and it didn't work out very well.

There is a reason they are not being used .However, you would think that three games in .......they would know the book by now ...

Will that help them not turn the ball over 5x?

Because if that's the fix, I'm all for it.

Yall are missing the point. He knows the playbook. Freeze sits there and tells you that straight to your face and yall choose not to believe it. Regardless of your feelings about him Hugh is not a dumbass who can't think critically. And it's not hard to believe that Payton has good practices. Good qb meetings. Good film reviews. He's been a quarterback for a decade. And it's not rocket science. His issue is when the heat gets turned up on the grill his ice cream brain melts and he panics. I'll bet at the root of his issue is he feels he doesn't have time to get to the next read and he doesn't have that playmaker dog in him to do whatever it takes to get there.

The man used his public university cell phone to call hookers. I most definitely question his ability to think critically.

I wouldn't want to be toting multiple phones either. He probably never imagined someone would scrutinize his phone history.

That has zilch to do with football or recruiting.

but everything to do with being a dumbass. Use your government issued computer to search “hookers near me” and see how well that goes over.

Maybe but that was at Ole Miss. He paid for that before he ever arrived at Auburn. I think you're just pouring it on.

If yall 1-5 dudes want him fired just say so. If not, dont boo or else you're only helping undo a plan to get out of a long period of mediocrity.

Here's a great idea: let's keep a "little black book" laying around that can record double secret cheating violations.

Do other teams go through this? We hear it almost every year either for our offense or our defense...

Never wanted him. He was a mediocre hire at best with more baggage than Auburn deserves.

We kicked the tires on many candidates before Freeze was hired. I wasn't thrilled with the hire then, but he is here now and he will be here for a while. On top of that one of my biggest concerns has already went away in that he can he recruit with NIL.

I am noticing none of the obnoxious Freeze pushers then are defending Freeze. SingleMalt? You no longer want to compare dick sizes?

Keionte Scott might see more subtractions...Former JUCO

quote:

One of the big personnel talking points for Auburn's defense this offseason was Keionte Scott's move to cornerback. It filled a gap, sure, but it also meant that every defensive back this season was going to technically be a first-time starter at his respective position, after Scott started at nickel for Auburn the past two seasons.

And Scott will be the first to admit he had a rough afternoon Saturday in Auburn's 21-14 loss to Cal.

Scott was picked on in coverage by quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who, according to Pro Football Focus, threw Scott's direction five times in the first half. All five passes were completed for 74 yards. Granted, Scott wasn't the only member of Auburn's defense struggling to slow Mendoza, who started the game red-hot, completing 19 of his first 21 passes — and one of those was a throwaway.

quote:

But Scott was barely on the field during that bounce-back half for Auburn. He played 30 of Auburn's 36 snaps in the first half. In the second half, he was only on the field for three defensive plays — one at corner, and the other two at nickel or safety.

Scott needs to move back to nickel. He’s costing himself money trying to be an outside CB.

kiffin and whom else?

i dont believe Deion was ever a serious candidate

we went hard in the paint for Kiffin, when we were rejected we immediately offered Freezus, unless there’s concrete evidence to the contrary i don’t believe we so much as ‘kicked the tires’ on anyone else
