Did you expect anything less?

It is unbelievable reading the board tonight. I always thought we were a better fanbase than this. I was wrong.

Other than using Joey in short yardage I don't see the advantage of pulling Bo. He made plenty of mistakes, but he also had us within 4 points late in the game. This is the problem with having a Frosh QB...you can't bench them on every mistake it causes long term damage.

That's something people are obviously missing. You have to take the good with the bad with Bo right now. Give him time to develop and see what you have. "If you have two QB's you don't have any".

No, that would be the defense that kept the game close.

Personally I don’t think Bo is so fragile that his long term development would be stunted if we threw Gatewood in for a few series just to see what he can do. If he’s not any tougher than that then he doesn’t need to start anyway.

So it's a team effort until it isn't. He made the plays that got us in the Red Zone.

we were 5-0 playing the statistically toughest schedule in the nation to date. tRant said the Auburn fanbase would go moronic the first time Auburn lost this year. They were right.
Our running game was, anemic, at best today, which led to us being severely one dimensional. Our QB was missing open receivers, repeatedly. That combination is the perfect recipe for a loss.
Meanwhile, you have a 6foot5, natural runner, who can throw, riding the pine. How much more respect would FLA have given to the run with Gatewood at QB? None? Maybe, but it could not have been less than Nix playing.
Don't get me wrong. I really like Nix, but today he was terrible. If I can see that, surely a coach getting a $49 million contract could see that. I could not care less how Nix played against former opponents. His youth and inexperience were on full display.
Another thing I noticed was when that stupid, hopping up and down by the RB stopped before the snap, we had better success running the ball. I don't know who is telling our RBs to do that, because they all do, but that is a dead giveaway that the play is a run. In a nutshell, we have some really dumb offensive minds running that show.

You’re retarded if you’re saying that Nix’s play was what kept the game close. Like super retarded

But this still goes back to my point that the backups get bullshite PT. They’re put in to run the clock out. God forbid you have a backup with some meaningful snaps under his belt in case he has to go in.

That was because of the defense. If anything we left a ton of points on the board.

I'm not saying he played well...but he also threw the pass for the only TD. Made the plays that had us in the red zone in the 4th. I would have liked to have seen Joey get some opportunities, but as has been the case since 2014 IMO the biggest issue was the OL. If Bo played perfect he'd of covered their asses, but he didn't.

Our D was not good today.

exactly. So that is Gus' fault?

So he’d rather bet his future and his job/millions of $ on a name of a kid and bench the more talented QB? !
To be fair here, his millions are basically guaranteed.
Gus has no offset clause from what I understand. So as long as he can get a $2mil HC job, he is fine

Wasn’t commenting on Nix. I just wanted you to know it’s no secret you are a retard.

Ah, I see we’re going elementary school name calling. In that case, you’re a little bitch.
Posted on 10/5/19 at 9:36 pm to jvilletiger25
That is all you can handle. Oh, and describing your level of intelligence is not name calling, it’s just reality.
I also will give you kudos for learning how to navigate the board and learned how to post.

I seem to remember JJ coming in cold firing off a couple nice passes during our 2013 run in the meat of the schedule. This whole adage hasn’t tested out to be very valid with other teams as well.
Our whole offense reeks right now. We cannot just stick with the same stuff if it’s not working just for the sake of protecting Bo’s pride. We have a team that can still win football games. A defense that forced 4 turnovers during a loss. “He’s just a TF” isn’t cutting it for me. Bo will be fine; he’s young and has maturing to do. Lamar Jackson was actually pulled during his TF year. I’m not saying pull Bo. I’m saying let Joey have a drive and see what happens. They’re different QBs, so it might work in our favor. Can’t end up worse than what it already was.
