I don't buy that Auburn spent all week on ULM

Behind closed doors I'd bet we spent time game planning for Alabama this past week. It just seemed obvious where our focus was

It seemed to me that we were just running basic stuff except for the touchdown drive just before halftime when the O turned on the jets. I don’t think they wanted to be tied at the half.

Sidenote: I was sitting high in the endzone and it was fun to watch KJ and others weave around on their runs.

basic stuff
except for that weird play where KJ handed the ball to Martin. I kind of liked it. It was a fun wrinkle to KJ running down the middle.

That’s how most of these games are. Offensively you just run a lot of base stuff with little to no scheming on how it translates to the opponent unless they run a weird defense.

Yes, but with Lindsey and Borges on staff, we should have some wrinkles he hasn’t seen before.

I don’t, either.

And that’s going to make us slip up against one of these cupcakes one day.

No opponent should be overlooked, IMO.

If you can’t beat ULM with basic formations, it really doesn’t matter.

I think they did that to show something to Bama. Gamesmanship.

ULM had a bye week devoted to us as well which hasn't been mentioned much

I think our guys just came out flat on O. The OL struggled much of the first half.

This was a quintessential trap game....

Coming off a huge win.
bama next week.

Yeah the only thing that worries me about this game is any potential injuries. There is no doubt we came out flat in the first half for all of the reasons mentioned above.

I actually think it was probably good for us. They actually had a decent scrambling qb who had some success in us in the first half. Should provide plenty of film for the team to learn from. I saw some breakdown that we need to get straightened out before Bama. No doubt that the team will be focused this week at practice and this game was probably a good kick in the butt. Just hope we come out healthy and as fired up next week as we were against UGA.

Good grief. He can’t stay healthy.
